Artist's Description
Chicago, Illinois USA. 7th December 2013. Members of the International Shipmasters Association salute as a wreath is dropped from a helicopter near the Chicago Lighthouse during the annual Christmas Tree Ship ceremony at Navy Pier. The event is in memory of the schooner Rouse Simmons, the original Christmas Tree Ship, which was lost with all hands during a storm on 23rd November 1912.

Todd Bannor is an experienced professional photographer. He has worked as a photo researcher at a major medical stock photography library. Todd has photographed many notable people in his career including President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Todd has a Masters Degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. For a few years after graduate school, he researched novel antibiotics and other therapeutic agents and supervised a high throughput screening laboratory with the Upjohn Company.
